Here I have for sale a GIRLING ALLOY 4 POT BRAKE CALIPER KIT. These are branded Girling but are actually made by BCC, they refer to these as their'Knockhill' type caliper, these are are a direct replacement for the Girling 17/3 calipers that were original fitment to some classic cars including: Jensen Interceptor MK 2, MK3 and SP V8, Jaguar E-Type Series 2 (Inc 2+2) and Series 3 (Inc V12). These are for use with vented. Discs, they have spacers fitted to them.
Of course any perspective purchaser would need to ensure suitability for their particular car. This brake caliper kit contains a pair of Girling 4 pot calipers anodised in silver, Girling brake pads (including pins, clips and springs), bleed nipples, bridge and feed pipes. The kit is a simple bolt-on installation requiring no permanent modification to the vehicle and is completely reversible. These calipers are a direct replacement for the OEM Girling Type 17/3 calipers.Using the proven BCC design the calipers are machined from Aerospace grade Aluminium for strength and durability. The calipers are hard anodised to prevent corrosion and then assembled. The pistons are made by BCC from 303 Stainless Steel to prevent corrosion and ensure a long life of faultless operation. The seals are supplied by British manufacturers of OEM automotive hydraulic seals. BCC calipers are fastened together with 10.9 grade high tensile steel bolts.
They are supplied with Copper/Nickel Alloy hard lines with Brass fittings. Jaguar E-Type Series 2 (2+2) project. They are a great upgrade, and whilst expensive they are not that much more than I was quoted a proper rebuild and re-plate of original calipers considering they offer much improved braking and peace of mind when driving a classic around cars with modern brakes that can stop much quicker in an emergency. They are beautifully engineered, not usual aftermarket rubbish.
